Built five small, embeddable web apps for local businesses: Snug (commission-free booking), Carte (allergen-aware digital menus), Slate (appointment booking), Tally (digital loyalty cards) and Nudge (review booster). A hub of daily browser games
Letterly grew into a small hub of free daily games at games.cyber-jack.uk: Cluster (find four hidden groups), Rankle (put four things in order) and Spot On (call the scores in a pool with friends). No sign-up, no ads.
Letterly launched
Shipped a seventh app and the first pure-web one: Letterly, a daily word categories game. Same letter and same ten categories for everyone worldwide each day. Real-time originality scoring, private friend leagues, no account. Build to launch in a single weekend.
Dabbling in web design for small businesses

Settle announced
Starting a sixth app: Settle, a FODMAP-aware meal planner. Recipe URL import, auto Low/Medium/High flags, weekly plan, hand-off to ListLedger for the shop. Build kicks off this week.
Journal launched
Started a weekly journal documenting the studio in public: what's shipping, what's broken, real numbers. Honest, not marketing.
Studio newsletter on Brevo
Migrated newsletter and tester signups to a proper provider with one-click unsubscribe. No more "subscribe to a Discord ping".
Studio site relaunched
This page. Replaced the old single-card placeholder with a proper studio landing, structured data, and a public changelog.
Inkframe in development
Started building a tattoo lifecycle companion app: pre-appointment prep, design photo, day-by-day healing reminders. (It later pivoted into Inkframe, a back-office tool for tattoo artists.)

About the studio
Cyber-Jack is a one-person studio. We build apps the way we'd want them used: small, fast, private, paid for once. No data harvesting, no engagement-bait, no surprise charges.
Every app is designed to work without an account. Your data lives on your device. We don't see it, store it, or sell it. If we ever change that, we'll tell you on this page first.
We work in public where we can. Each app has its own site with a privacy policy that explains exactly what it does and doesn't do, in plain English.

Is Cyber-Jack really one person?
Yes. Every app, every landing page, every reply to support email is one human in the UK. Bigger studios with bigger budgets ship more, but a one-person studio means decisions are made by the person who has to live with them - which is why we don't add subscriptions, ads, or trackers we wouldn't want in our own apps.
How do you make money without subscriptions?
Optional one-off Pro unlocks. The free version of every app is fully usable - the unlock adds nice-to-haves. We'd rather sell once to a happy user than churn a recurring subscriber. Current prices are on each app's own site.
Are the apps actually private, or is that marketing?
Actually private. None of the apps require an account. Your data is stored on your device. The one exception is a shared list or household in ListLedger, which has to sync through a server so the people you share with can see it - that carries your list contents and a household ID, and nothing else. The privacy policy on each app spells out exactly what each app does and doesn't do, in plain English.
Why are some apps Android-only?
Apple charges £99/year just to publish an iOS build, plus more for app review. For an indie studio shipping free games like Shoji, that's a real friction. Most apps go to Android first because the cost of being wrong is lower; iOS follows once an app proves it's wanted.
How often do new apps come out?
Roughly one new app every 6-12 weeks. As of September 2026: GutLedger and ListLedger are live on the stores, Settle is on Android, Inkframe is live on the web, and there are six free browser games at games.cyber-jack.uk. Odomo reached internal testing and is not currently released. The log above is the honest version of this answer.
Can I suggest a feature or report a bug?
Please do. Email hello@cyber-jack.uk for general feedback, or use the support page on the relevant app's site for app-specific issues. Every email gets read and usually replied to within a day. Real feature requests have shipped within weeks.
Is there a roadmap?
The "What's shipped lately" timeline above is the public roadmap. Anything past that is a maybe. We don't pre-announce features so we can change direction when something better comes up.
What does "on-device first" actually mean?
It means the data lives on your phone. If you delete the app, the data is gone. If you change phones without backing up, the data is gone. That's the trade-off for not having a Cyber-Jack server holding your information. Each app has its own way to export data so you can keep your own backups.
