Can Slate ever double-book me?
No. Slate generates available times from your opening hours, your service durations and how many staff are free. Once a slot is taken it disappears, and if every chair is busy at a time, that time is never offered. It checks again at the moment of booking, so two people can't grab the same slot.
Do my customers need an app?
No. Slate opens in any web browser from a link or button on your own website. Customers pick a service, a day and a time, enter their details and they're booked - nothing to install.
Does it handle more than one staff member?
Yes. Add your team and Slate spreads bookings across whoever is free, so you can run two or more appointments at once. Customers can pick a specific person or just take the first available slot. Single-chair businesses can leave the team empty.
Can I still take bookings over the phone?
Yes. The owner dashboard lets you add phone and walk-in bookings yourself, reschedule or cancel anything, mark no-shows, and set one-off closures. Online and offline bookings share the same diary.
