Cyber-Jack is a small, independent UK software studio. The whole point of what we build is to respect your data: our apps are on-device first, there are no subscriptions harvesting your behaviour, and we do not sell or share personal data with advertisers. This page explains, in plain English, what happens on our websites and in our apps.

The short version

We use Google Analytics to count anonymous visits, but only if you say yes to the cookie banner. If you decline, no analytics run at all.
We do not use advertising cookies, we do not run cross-site trackers, and we do not sell your data.
Most of our apps keep your data on your own device. Where an app stores data on a server, its own privacy policy explains exactly what and why.

Cookies and similar technology on this website

Under UK law (PECR), we can only store or read non-essential information on your device with your consent. So:

Analytics (Google Analytics 4) - needs your consent. When you first visit, a banner asks if you are happy with anonymous analytics. Nothing analytics-related loads until you click Accept. If you accept, Google Analytics counts your visit with your IP address anonymised; we use this only to understand roughly how many people use the site and which pages are popular. There are no advertising features, no Google Ads linking, and no cross-site profiling. You can change your mind at any time using the Cookie preferences link in the footer.
Your consent choice - strictly necessary. We store your accept/decline choice in your browser (a small cj_consent_v1 value in local storage) so we do not ask you on every page. This holds only your preference, not tracking data.
Login sessions - strictly necessary. On apps where you log in (for example Inkframe), we set a secure session cookie after you sign in so the app knows it is you. This is required for the service to work and is set only once you choose to log in.

Third parties that help run the sites

Google Fonts. Some pages load typefaces from Google's font service. To deliver a font, your browser contacts Google, which means your IP address is shared with Google for that request. No cookie is set by this. We are working to reduce reliance on third-party fonts over time.
Cloudflare. Our sites are served and protected by Cloudflare, which guards against abuse and attacks. Cloudflare may process connection metadata and set security tokens as part of keeping the sites available. This is a strictly-necessary security function.

Under UK GDPR you can ask us what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and object to certain processing. For website analytics there is no account or identifier that ties data to you personally, so there is usually nothing to retrieve, but you are always welcome to ask. To exercise any right, or if you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, email us at hello@cyber-jack.uk. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
