This week, I focused on enhancing how users interact with ingredients in GutLedger and ListLedger to make their food tracking and shopping experiences better.
Smarter ingredient recognition
I improved how GutLedger recognises FODMAPs and other ingredients. This means the app can now identify more types of ingredients accurately, making it easier for people managing IBS to track what they eat. In ListLedger, I worked on smarter item categorisation, which includes longer match capabilities and typo tolerance. This helps users find items faster when adding them to their shopping lists.
Notification improvements
To prevent confusion and ensure a smooth experience, I fixed duplicate trigger notifications in GutLedger so that users don't receive unnecessary reminders. In ListLedger, I made sure the clear-checked banner no longer hides the last row, ensuring all items are visible after clearing selections.
Cross-promotion features
I added cross-promo banners for both GutLedger and ListLedger to help users discover other Cyber-Jack apps more easily. These banners subtly encourage users to try out my other tools for managing their health and daily tasks.
Odomo enhancements
In Odomo, I fixed a tracking issue that was causing delays in the foreground service (FGS) by implementing a faster gate mechanism. Additionally, I added tracker diagnostics to help identify and resolve issues more efficiently.
Inkframe progress
For Inkframe, I made significant strides in adding features like notifications for tattoo lifecycle events, photo capture functionality, and a detailed guide section. The app now has a 4-tab UI with comprehensive content to assist users throughout their tattoo journey.
